On June 28 from16Z onwards, Spanish and Portuguese Divsions of IVAO along with Aerosoft present 'Iberia Fly-In' . Pilots can choose between a Shuttle flight between Madrid Barajas and Lisbon Portela or participiate in a Real Flight Operations Event at Lisbon Airport or both. Expect both these airports and surrounding areas to be fully staffed and also some heavy traffic. What's holding you back?

France VFR's latest release: AI-ATC RADAR France VFR is proud to announce its latest release - two radar within the same pack: the Radar AI-ATC simulating Air-traffic Control Tour and the On-board radar that is to be taken on board into the aircraft of your choice.

They were developed simultaneously for FS2004 and FSX in order to offer the virtual pilot a group of visual information for the navigation, such as aircraft type, registration, position, distance, altitude and direction regarding the nearby air traffic evolution (radars range up to 40 NM) . You can get these information either on the AI traffic during a standalone session or by the participants of a network session. Both radar are fully compatible with the Network sessions native of Microsoft Flight Simulator as well as other widespread servers (IBNet, FSHost).

The radar integration is at your fingertips with the specific “Radar Configurator” software provided in the pack. It allows any user (novice welcome!) an easy and rapid integration for adding or removing your on-board radar in two clicks!

Helsinki-Vantaa (EFHK) Update 1.5 released! Jari Varje has released a long-awaited update for FISD's EFHK scenery. The update adds new important features to the scenery.

The modifications include new aprons (8 and 9), updated taxiways, new buildings like the Hilton Hotel and Blue1's hangar, winter textures and much more.

The EFHK scenery is under constant developement and you can expect new updates in the future.

The update is available for download in FSNordic's File Library.

Visit Lisbon 2008 the main airport of Portugals capital. Michael Kopatz recreated the airport up to the smallest detail incl. all buildings and installations, docking systems and all the features you expected from a modern scenery development in FS2004.

Lisbon Airport is the main international gateway to Portugal and a major European hub. It is one of the largest airports in Southern Europe. The airport has two main runways, capable of accommodating large-size aircraft such as the Boeing 747. Before the existence of the actual Lisbon Airport, Lisbon was served by an aerodrome called "Campo Internacional de Aterragem" located in Alverca. At the end of the 50´s Cabo Ruivo was closed and all the air operations were transferred to Portela. In 2007, the airport handled 13 392 059 passengers and 82 879 tonnes of cargo and it is the main base-hub of the national Portuguese airline TAP-Air Portugal.

After successful Helsinki Spring Heat –event, the same crew arranges even bigger and better event, Helsinki Real Ops, held in Helsinki-Vantaa (EFHK/HEL) on Sunday, 25th of may. There are about 200 available flights to be booked. Booking system can be found at our event website. After successful booking, our event crew will provide each pilot a flightplan via e-mail.

As the traffic numbers are expected to go high, parallel approaches will be used during the event, if weather grants it.

Dolomynum v1.2.0 released

Dolomynum v1.2.0 released Dolomynum version 1.2.0 was released on 10th May 2008. It is an independent and lightweight open source application for online simmers to check the status of FSD-based online flying networks such as IVAO and VATSIM (similar to the Servinfo or WhazzUp softwares).

One can view traffic status on a three-dimensional OpenGL map with accurate geographical and aeronautical information, or organized in different lists. In addition, there is an always-on-top console able to display various kind of important information, and it can gather and store structured statistics about traffic status that can be analyzed later.
