Annual Christmas Fly-In is here again! The IVAO’s official Christmas Fly-In is held at Rovaniemi airport (EFRO) on December 12th starting at 1700 UTC. Rovaniemi is located in the Finnish Lapland, the home region of the Santa-Claus. Last year we had some 200 flights during one evening so be there this year to beat the record!

New releases from FlightSim Greenland

Freeware add-ons 16.11.08 / 20:55 - SP

FlightSim Greenland has released three scenery's, as the new site is now released.

BGUK Upernavik - the whole island have been re-meshed. And the airport have been elevated to the right elevation. The airport terminal has been added.

BGMQ Maniitsoq - the airport and city areas has been mre-meshed with 25 meter resolution. The airport have been moved to a more accurate position, and the airport terminal have been added.

BGSS Sisimiut - version 3 have been released. This includes a much larger area in 25 meter resolution.

VATSIM: PRE-INFO: Fly & See Santa 2008 [13-14.12.2008] Northern lights and Santa Claus are calling pilots for a journey to the Finnish Lapland. Fly & See Santa is the biggest annual Christmas event in VATSIM skies and is held at three airports in Northern part of Finland. Snowy sceneries and slippery runways are open during the event at Rovaniemi, Kittilä and Ivalo. All of them are famous for beautiful nature, fresh air and almost total silence. During December these airports are popular charter destinations for almost 500 flights from all over Europe.

Schedule of the event is as follows: Saturday 13.12.2008, 1800 - 0000 UTC -
Arriving traffic is accepted for Rovaniemi, Kittilä and Ivalo. Sunday 14.12.2008, 1600 - 2000 UTC - Departing traffic from Rovaniemi, Kittila and Ivalo.

IVAO Press Release: Aerosoft - IVAO Executive Event - November 16 IVAO and Aerosoft present the 4th joint event on November 16th 2008, at 1700z. This time you will be introduced in a world of luxury, oil and culture. Arabian sheiks plan to visit the cities of Hannover and Leipzig in Germany. This shuttle is all about managing logistics and related problems that may occur during the transfer between the two cities. For eg., VIP’s, bodyguards and big cars, everything needs to be transferred.

Hannover, mostly known for the World Exposition 2000 and Leipzig the huge European cargo hub. Be sure to encounter a high density of traffic and high quality ATC.

Latest Product Release of France VFR - FlightPyrenees Atlantiques BasePack and Autogen France VFR is proud to announce you its latest release in the FLIGHT Series: the Flight Pyrenees Atlantiques BasePack and AutogenPack. It represents the 2nd pane of the French Pyrenees mountains containing the Western part of it through 19 000 sq. kms. This Basepack and AutogenPack complete and finalise the FLIGHT Series with all other BasePacks and Autogens having been commercialised since the last 2 years.

The scenery spreads over from the Atlantic Coast through the well known urban areas of Biarritz, St Jean de Luz, Pau and Tarbes, Lourdes as well as the Mountain Pics (Pic du Midi de Bigorre and Ossau.
