FPDA Pushback pushes too far
The FPDA Pushback in my FS2002 ERJ-145 pushes me way too far if I add one single increment on the distance knob. The minimum distance again isn't far enough to push out of a normal gate.
Am I doing something wrong ? Should I somehow stop the push when I am far enough out on the apron. Last time on-line ground pushed me into traffic on the active runway ...
The FPDA Pushback gauge is pretty old technology, and doesn't really work well in FS2002 or FS2004. The latest version of the panel abandons it altogether, opting to use the default pushback when the button on the glareshield is clicked.
A great alternative pushback gauge is this:
which can also be combined with a taxi speed control gauge:

Thanks, Michael ! How do I replace the highly dangerous FPDA with that more reliable gadget then ? I'm running FS2002.
