Mostly swedish pop-music. Have been playing a lot of Sigur Rós lately though...

If in need of tasty, dynamic live blues guitar licks: Jeff Beck: Brush with the blues
If in need of dirty lyrics and difficult arrangements: Frank Zappa: Overnight sensation (OK, Snoop Doggy Dogg is a muthafu*kin´ hustler as well)
If in need of virtuoso fusion jazz: Anything by Spyro Gyra or Weather Report
If in need of best all-around recording technique, jazzy arrangements and amazing chord progressions in AOR: Donald Fagen
If in need of all-american classics: Eagles or Allman Brothers, adding Joni Mitchell
If in need of music by psychedelic cosmic drug addicts: New Riders of The Purple Sage: Adventures of Panama Red; Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead, Jimi
If in need of British sound in general: Steve Winwood, Eric Burdon
If in need of a Scandinavian artist: Eva Dahlgren or Björk
...that about sums it up.

I guess I have to say Alternative Rock. Not EMO-music, and s**t like that, but more "dark" rock with dark lyrics for example. Gutter Twins, Twilight Singers and Afghan Whigs is my favourite-bands. But I can´t really put my finger on one single style, because I like a lot of other music too. I can even enjoy a rap/hiphop-song sometimes
