MD-11 previews? FMC?

And Chris, do you have any idea on programming? Did you forget that they have to pay per credit card transaction, they have to pay for a dedicated server (A LOT OF MONEY), for website design and for their download script, and for all kinds of things I KNOW you didn't factor in to prove your point...But, as they say, you only hear what you want to hear (or read)...
Actually John, I did.
Based on a minimum sale of 5,000 units, direct cost of production sould be approximately US$5.00. That's based on a dedicated server costing approx. US$2,000 per year (and assuming that you're going to release at least 2 projects per year), credit card clearing cost of US$0.20 per transaction plus 10% of the sale cost (that's the high end, I've found three that are US$0.75 a transaction for 5000 transactions and less for more) and basing on a rate of US$30.00 per month for every 20GB of bandwidth that you use in addition to the base 20GB of bandwidth on the dedicated server plan. I did NOT include website development because PMDG has their own web designer/webmaster on staff, and he's paid a portion of the profit, not a flat fee.
I'm sorry John, but your facts are flawed. Anyone who's paying more than US$10.00 per download in fixed costs, is getting ripped off.

Hi Bill,
some questions concerning the MD11:
Will the MD11 have a complete overhead (with IRSs, fire, fuel etc.)?
I guess it will have a TCAS (as you now have the code from PMDGs great TCAS) and does it need to be modified (or is the display of targets etc. identical to the Boeing style)?
What won't be included? I know, still long way to go and you never know, but I guess WX-radar is currently not really achievable...
Best regards,
Stefan
Stefan,
We already have TCAS, it will be upgraded, and we're hoping and plan for weather radar.
Please direct all further questions about the MD11 to the PMDG forum.

OK, Chris, what part of move on to another line of discussion do you not understand?
If this is the type of response I can expect as a result of joining PMDG, I'm not heartened. This is supposed to be a pleasant avocation.
Forewith, this topic will be locked.

To all:
Well, after about 5 years, it's historically significant to bump this topic.
